Still so totally shocked to have been picked for this design team... New house.....

OK so I'm way behind updating this! no internet at home really does not help! Apparantly it takes sky a month to move our broadband service 2 minutes down the road! FANTASTIC! To be fair in my experience so far, tiscali have set the record with a grand total of 6 weeks (I kid you not!!) and don't even get me started on aol!
so travel back with me, if you will, to Dec 7th....
That was the day we became home owners (eeeeek! like we actually own 10% of our house and the bank own the rest. quite a scary thought!)

funny... until you realise the one item you need is in an unmarked bin liner on the far side of the room....

like we were never there....

Tuesday of this week we said goodbye to our first house (and I cried!) It was strange to see it so empty and looking so different to when we lived there. We also said goodbye to the wooden snake. We found him in the kitchen cupboard when we arrived almost 3 years ago and he gave us quite a fright at first glance (untill we realised he wasn't real). We've had so much fun hiding him for each other to find but now he waits in the kitchen cupboard for the next un suspecting tennant! Goodbye house! Goodbye snake!








Will post some pics of the new house next time I get near a computer. we still arent set up at home.

comfort in strange things....

So I got really stressed over the weekend. It looked like the move might not go ahead this week and I was feeling pretty rough. so.... I did the only thing you can do when all else fails....

..... I sat in the middle of all the boxes and packing materials and toasted a marshmallow gingerbread man over a candle!

(seriously?! no one else does that?? they really should!!!!!!)

So knowing that I can't put christmas decorations up because we are moving, I decided to at least prepare my desk. not much but its a start I geuss...
